An honest VEED alternative

VEED is a broad browser editor that does many things well. GrowthCamel does one narrow thing: work out what to make, then make it.

Formats

VEED is a browser-based video editor that has steadily absorbed most of the AI features in this category. It is broad, competent, and aimed at a much wider audience than short-form creators.

What VEED does well

Everything in a browser, with no install: auto-subtitles, background noise removal, magic cut, translation and dubbing across a long list of languages, screen and webcam recording, a stock library, brand kits, AI voiceover and avatars, and 4K export on the upper tier.

Its real strength is breadth. If your week involves a webinar edit, a social clip, a subtitled explainer and a screen recording, one tool covers all of it.

A broad editor versus a narrow research-to-video pipeline

Where the two differ

Breadth is exactly the trade-off. VEED is a general editor that does many things adequately to well. It does not have an opinion about what you should make, because it is not built for any one kind of content.

GrowthCamel is narrow on purpose. It does one thing: find what already outperformed in your niche, explain why, and turn it into a video in your voice and face. Useless for a webinar edit. Better for the blank calendar.

Pricing

At the time of writing VEED lists a free tier with a watermark and export limits, then Lite around $12 a month and Pro around $24 on annual billing, with an enterprise tier above. AI features draw on an annual credit allowance. GrowthCamel starts at $15.60 a month. Check both for current numbers.

Which should you pick? If you edit several kinds of video and want one browser tool for all of it, VEED is a reasonable default and priced accordingly. If you only make short-form and the hard part is deciding what to make, a broader editor makes that harder, not easier.

Questions people ask

Is GrowthCamel a VEED replacement?

Only for short-form. VEED is a general editor covering webinars, screen recordings and long-form too. GrowthCamel does not do any of that.

Does GrowthCamel do subtitles and dubbing?

Subtitles are included. Dubbing across many languages is VEED territory and it is stronger there.

Why would I pick a narrower tool?

Because breadth does not help with the hardest part of posting consistently, which is deciding what to post. A general editor has no opinion about that.

Which is cheaper?

VEED's Lite tier is around $12 a month on annual billing, GrowthCamel starts at $15.60. They price different jobs, so compare against what you actually need.
